Freckles and Sander

The Egg Question

Everyone uses eggs. Everyone needs eggs. Eggs are a huge part of cooking, and of life itself. An average Extra Large store bought egg contains;  80 calories, 6 grams of Fat, 7 grams of protien, Vitamin A, and C, Calcium, and Iron. All things considered this is a very healthy food item. Now, The average TRUE free range fresh egg, of the same size contains,  1/3 less cholesterol, 1/4 less saturated fat, 2/3 more Vitamin A, 2 times more Omega-3 acids, 3 times more vitamin E, 6 times more Vitamin D, and 7 times more beta carotene! So, Why NOT get local fresh free range eggs?

Fall Jumping!

Last week, we had family in from out of town, so we went and decided to visit a few of the falls and do some cliff jumping! We visited the middle pool at the Raymonskill falls, and a locals only spot on the Delaware river!

Broody Hen

We have had a Broody hen sitting on 3 eggs for 11 days now! Last night we went out and candled the eggs, and all 3 of them have little embryos! You could see them kicking around, and swimming. ADORABLE! 10 more days until chick pictures =]
